Baby Size Compared to a Fruit...Week 15

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

15 weeks

How far along? 15 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss? About 8.5 lbs based on Doctor's scale
Maternity cloths? Yep...maternity pants. I still can fit in my regular shirts.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep? I have been sleeping pretty well lately. Kona did wake me up to go out last night
Best moment last week? Find out we are having a baby girl. So excited!!
Movement? Flutters. Last Sunday I felt what seemed like punches or kicks. After seeing our little girl stretch out, I wouldn't be surprised if she was kicking me. She has really long legs.
Food cravings? Salty, Spicy and Sour
Gender? A little girl
Labor signs? Not yet, Thank God
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss? Being thin and not looking fat. I would really like to look pregnant
What I am looking forward to? Well, What I was looking most forward to was finding out the gender and that happened last night. I guess I am looking forward to another u/s in a few weeks.
Milestones?

Baby Size Compared to a Fruit...Week 14

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

14 weeks

How far along? 14 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss? About 6-7 pounds, not sure. Will find out next week at our dr. appt.
Maternity cloths? Yep...my clothes are just too tight.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep? I have had a cold, so I have had trouble breathing at night. I wake up drowning in my phlegm. The last few nights, it has been better.
Best moment last week? Made our appt. for early gender determination next week.
Movement? Flutters but could be gas
Food cravings? Hot and sour foods. I think Tom Yum soup for dinner tonight. Yum!! I am also, craving this asian top ramen, that is lemony and spicy. I think I might have to stop at Vien Dong tomorrow on my way up to the show
Gender? 1 more weeks, hopefully
Labor signs? Not yet, Thank God
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss? Being able to sleep at night and have a good workout without being exhausted.
What I am looking forward to? Finding out the gender at 15 weeks
Milestones? Nothing this week

Baby Size Compared to a Fruit...Week 13

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

13 Weeks

How far along? 13 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss? About 6 pounds, not really sure because our scale weighs all crazy
Maternity cloths? Yep...my clothes are just too tight.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep? Had a good nights sleep last night but before that, I dozed all night
Best moment last week?
Movement? Flutters but could be gas
Food cravings? Nothing really, maybe beans??
Gender? 2 more weeks, hopefully
Labor signs? Not yet, Thank God
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss? Being thin and not looking fat. I would really like to look pregnant
What I am looking forward to? Finding out the gender at 15 weeks
Milestones? Told the world we are pregnant....on Facebook...HaHa

Flutters or Gas?

I have been feeling "flutters" the last few days. Mostly when I am lying down on the couch and a lot of time when I am sleeping. I will feel something during the middle of the night and think I am awake and then wake up and not remember if I was awake or dreaming. Today, all day, I have been feeling swirling movement in my abdomen. Most people will say it is probably gas but it feels different and feels like it is in my uterus, not in my intestines or stomach. Who knows? I guess time will tell.
